Alison Ann Sweeney is an American actor, reality host director and author. Sweeney is most well-known for her role as Samantha Sami Brady, a character that she played in Days of Our Lives from January 6, 1994 through October 30, 2014 as part of the contract of NBC. Sweeney finally had it in 1999. She shunned trendy foods like drinking grapefruit or cabbage soup, and adopted healthy lifestyle changes, like cutting out sugary sodas and started going to workout classes in the style of boot camp. She lost 30 pounds. The result? She almost shed 30 pounds. Sweeney was born in Ireland and is the mother of two older brothers.
